BOSS Staffing is currently hiring experienced CNC Almacan Sheet Metal Operator to start work immediately in Brampton.

Location: Queen St E and Goreway Dr, Brampton

Schedule: Monday – Friday

Shift: 7am – 4pm (8.5 hrs per day as a minimum)

Pay rate: $25/hr – $30/hr (based on experience)

Requirements

  • Almacam experience a must
  • Minimum 1 year CNC bending operating experience
  • Minimum 1 year CNC programming experience
  • Certified Forklift (counterbalance) an asset
  • Sheet metal experience an asset
  • Brake press bending (CNC) experience an asset
  • Amada turret punch press experience an asset
  • Shipping and receiving experience an asset
  • Solidworks CAD software an asset
  • Windows-based computer software experience
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent math skills, including: reading tape measure and accurate use of fractions and decimals
  • Excellent English language communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Safety shoes
  • Safety-first attitude

Responsibilities

  • Safe set up and operation of equipment and production molds
  • Cut, fold, bend, and form metal sheets through brake press, laser cutting, or other machine equipment
  • Quality control of manufactured parts
  • Following design guides and blueprints
  • Equipment safety and maintenance checks
  • Computer system operation
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Adhere to all health and safety protocols
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Additional tasks as required
