BOSS Staffing is currently hiring a Mechanical Millwright for a large electro-mechanical repairs and rewinds company in Mississauga. This is a direct hire opportunity with the client.

Location: Dixie Rd / Eglinton Ave, Mississauga

Schedule: Monday – Friday

Shift: 7:30am – 4:30pm

Pay rate: $25 – $35 / hr (depending on experience)

Requirements

  • Experience in a supervisor capacity of staff and team members in a repair facility would be an asset.
  • Security and safety clearance
  • Drivers’ validity licence is a must.
  • Must have own tools/equipment.
  • Must be comfort to travel and work at customers environments.
  • Must be punctual and exceptional detail oriented.
  • Able to be adhering to strict safety guidelines and cognizant safety risk.
  • Mechanical aptitude in dealing with wrenches, hammers, forklift, cranes, rigging equipment and other similar tools.
  • Working Knowledge of mechanical technical skills to allow them to effectively read documents such as specifications, machine manual, and blueprints.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting techniques to solve machine issues.
  • Excellent mathematical skills and strong attention to details.
  • Ability to be a team player due to constant interaction with similar employees and stakeholders such as Engineers, Plant Managers, and Part Vendors, amongst others.
  • Knowledge of basic arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and their applications.
  • High school diploma or equivalent technical training.
  • At least 3 years experience interpreting basic mechanical drawings.
  • Regular lift and/or move up to 25lbs.
  • Able to follow basic health and safety procedures and protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Assembling and installing machines then testing them to make sure they are working correctly.
  • Must work in a full compliance with approved safety regulations.
  • Managing the layout and placement of equipment and machinery in factory settings to ensure minimum downtime
  • Identifying and repairing problematic part of a machine by running test, making temporary repairs, or installing new parts.
  • Dismantling older machines and replacing them with new ones as required
  • Overseeing preventive maintenance by identifying and correcting potential issues, removing worm out pieces and lubricating mechanical part.
  • Using Machinery or equipment, such as forklifts, overhead cranes, rigging and lifting. To move mechanical part.
  • Preform on-site servicing and repair if required.
  • Assist in troubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, generators, and other electromechanical equipment.
  • Able to follow basic work instruction, review and approve documentation ensure all processes are verified.
  • Able to assess team members ability and provide feedback on team members progress is essential.
