BOSS Staffing is currently hiring MIG / TIG Welders for our client in Burlington.

Quick Info

Location: North Service Rd / Hwy 403, Burlington Shift: Monday – Friday: 7:00am – 4:30pm. Overtime as required. Pay rate: $24/hr – $32/hr (depending on experience)

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience & currently CWB Certified (emphasis on Flux-Core & fitting)
  • Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures
  • Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
  • Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
  • Proficient in English
  • Welding Certificate or Diploma

Additional Skills/Experience/Assets:

  • Forklift Training
  • Working at Heights Training
  • WHIMIS Training

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications
  • Operate manual and semi-automatic Stick, Flux-Core, MIG and TIG welders to fuse metal segments
  • Operate manual and semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
  • Set up components for welding according to specifications
  • Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)
  • All assemblies are fabricated to within tolerable allowances
  • Maintains a clean and productive workspace
  • Strives to come in on, or below, the budgeted hours for each work order, 100% of the time
  • Adheres to all safety policies and company policies and identifies any potential issues
