BOSS Staffing is currently hiring a Millwright for a manufacturing client in Vaughan.
This is a unionized position, which will require union dues upon hire. Candidates are eligible for a benefits package after 3 months.

Location: Hwy 7 and Hwy 27, Vaughan
Night Shifts: $38 per hour + Continental Night Shift Premium: $1.00 /hour
Continental Night Shift: 8:00PM – 8:00AM
· Work 7 (12 hours) days every 2 weeks
· Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
· Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday
Day Shifts: $38 per hour
Continental Day Shift: 8:00AM – 8:00PM

Requirements
- Certified Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A)
- Completion of secondary school and a recognized Millwright Apprenticeship Program or equivalent
- 2-4+ years of experience working as a Millwright in an industrial Manufacturing setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge and electrical knowledge an asset
- Hands-on experience working with pumps, motors, conveying equipment, hydraulic equipment and large industrial machines
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Working knowledge of local and Canadian electrical and safety codes
- Advanced working knowledge of electrical, PLC programming, and motor controls
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics and manuals for equipment
- Problem-solve and execute solutions, preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing/industrial environment
- Manage multiple task and prioritize while staying organized
- Work with cross-functional team members
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Work at heights (training will be provided)
- Demonstrated leadership and work ethic
- Adapt to changing priorities and working conditions
- Experience using Maintenance Software programs
- Counterbalance forklift certification and experience is considered an asset
- Welding Certification an asset
- Elevated work platform certification an asset
- Clear criminal record check required
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and perform regular maintenance of all equipment and machines
- Execute planned and ad hoc maintenance
- Commission new equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance for all equipment
- Operate within a multi-skilled environment to maintain the plant’s machinery and equipment
- Improving processes to minimize production disruption
- Respond to equipment breakdowns; execute mechanical repairs in a timely manner including pneumatic and hydraulic systems, drives, bearings, and gears
- Install and maintain production equipment
- Collaborate with the Engineering team to develop, execute and maintain preventative and predictive maintenance programs
- Set up and maintain a safe and organized maintenance shop
- Ensure work areas are clean, organized and safe from any hazards
- Ensure the safe and efficient operations of the plant
- Work with the Engineering team to develop BOMs for equipment and maintain spare parts inventory
- Maintain maintenance records in the company’s enterprise resource planning software
- Achieve maintenance department business, quality and safety objectives
- Follow human resources, environmental health and safety, and Pliteq policies
- Participate in accident investigations and work refusals
- Participate in work related training
- Maintain and keep current on professional Millwright designations and licenses
